Dan guides the strategic direction of the firm and its subsidiaries, develops and negotiates all key strategic relationships with investors, partners and lenders, and sits on the Executive Investment Committee that approves the allocation of the Firm’s resources to all investments. He also oversees all Finance, Accounting and Technology areas of the Firm.

Prior to founding River Rock, Dan served as Managing Vice President at Cedarwood Development, a national, full service commercial real estate development company. During his tenure at Cedarwood, Dan was responsible for the performance of over 2.9 million square feet of new retail development as well as the acquisition of all commercial retail projects.

Dan has more than 20 years experience in business and real estate; he has been a principal investor, board member, executive officer, and/or top strategic advisor in 21 private M&A transactions with various stakeholders. The diversity of his business experience includes aggressive growth projects, start-ups, M&A transactions, complex post-acquisition integration challenges in public and private company environments, organizational consolidations, organizational turnarounds, and distressed restructuring situations.

Served a three-year term on the Business Advisory Board at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, OH.
